Praying Under Pressure

Pastor Vecente Coatney’s sermon, “Praying Under Pressure,” teaches from Acts 4 that when the early church faced opposition after healing a lame man in Jesus’ name, their response was not fear or silence but bold faith and prayer. He emphasized that believers today also experience pressure to keep their faith private, yet we are called to remain witnesses because of what we’ve seen God do through Jesus. The key message is that in moments of threat, conflict, or cultural pressure, Christians should turn to community and prayer, inviting God’s power to move rather than shrinking back from proclaiming Christ.
