Practice to Win the Game

Pastor Gaylon Clark teaches that gathered worship (church, small groups, singing, prayer, and Scripture) is “practice” that equips believers, while scattered worship—how we live Monday through Saturday—is the real “game” where faith is executed. Drawing from Colossians 3, he emphasizes that everything we do can be worship when we honor Christ in our words, decisions, and relationships, with gathered and scattered worship working together like breathing in and out. Even when we fail, God’s grace keeps us in the game, calling us not to perfection but faithful obedience—running the next play and living out what we’ve practiced.
