Health

Our Health Cause focuses on addressing systemic inequalities and working towards creating a society where everyone has an equal opportunity to lead a healthy life. Specifically we bring awareness to the  preventable diseases that disproportionately impact black and brown communities. We also partner with local universities and organizations to provide health screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, and breast cancer.

Mental Health

Addressing mental health in the Black community is crucial because Black individuals often face unique challenges and disparities that can impact their mental well-being. The following are our strategies in addressing mental health in the Black community:

  • Reducing Stigma. Promote awareness and education to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health within the Black community and Black churches. Encourage open conversations about mental health, challenge stereotypes, and emphasize that seeking help is a sign of strength.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Partner with mental health organizations, community organizations, churches, schools, and local leaders to develop initiatives that address mental health needs.
